Some Golf Tips For You
by Lee MacRae
Here are some great tips to help improve your game from tee-off to the final hole.
A great way to keep the clubhead traveling down the target line after contact is to think of yourself as hitting two balls. Imagine a ball is positioned about 18 inches to 2 feet to the left [or right if you are left-handed] of the actual ball. After you hit the real ball, hit the imaginary ball as well, and to do that, you must have a full extension on the follow-through
Finish towards the target. Pick a spot on the ground that lines up with your target and from your address stretch your wood towards it. If done correctly, your arms should form a V shape with both arms fully extended. Finish the swing over your left shoulder. Do you have a tendency to bend your left arm early. That also will retard distance; keep your V as long as possible before it bends at the finish of your swing and you will find youself getting much more distance.
One option for better accuracy on tight holes is to choke down a few inches on the grip of the driver. The shorter, firmer swing will enhance accuracy without sacrificing too much distance [you'll still hit longer than you would with a fairway wood]. But the key here is to cut down on the wrist cock and make a three-quarter swing. In other words, you shouldn't really give yourself an opportunity to hit and off line drive
These simple golf driving tips have proved effective in helping many golfers around the world improve their drives off the tee. Simply apply what you have read here to your own circumstances. Here's to your own improvement!

I could ask ten players what starts the downswing, and I would get ten different answers. It has been said that golf is both an art and a science. "To know a thing by its parts is science: to feel it as a whole is art." It helps to understand the mechanics (Science) of a swing. It also helps to understand how to develop the feel (Art).

Pro golfer Arjun Atwal won't be charged in a street race where the other driver crashed and died.
Prosecutors decided last week not to charge Atwal in the March 2007 death, saying the cars never made contact. Witnesses said Atwal and John N. Park were driving nearly 100 mph in a 45-mph zone when Park failed to negotiate a turn, sending his car airborne into a tree.
"The two racing vehicles did not come into contact with each other," assistant state attorney Robert Eagan wrote Thursday.
